Scott H. Belshaw, M.A.

Owner/Managing Investigator/Consultant

 

Scott H. Belshaw is a graduate of the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Social Science/Psychology. He also holds a Master of Arts from Houston Baptist University and a Master of Arts in Criminology from the University of Houston Clear Lake.  Mr. Belshaw has completed extensive post-graduate work in criminology and criminal justice and is currently completing his Ph.D in juvenile criminal justice at Prairie View A&M University. Mr. Belshaw is board certified in criminal defense investigations by the CDITC. He has served as a probation officer and investigator for Harris County, Texas. He was the coordinator of a probation violator fugitive task force and also served as officer in charge of gang intelligence and internal affairs offices in the state jail prison division. Mr. Belshaw has experience in locating missing people and hard-to-find information. He has conducted surveillance for Harris County and served as the court liaison probation officer or court chief probation officer in the County Criminal Courts in Harris County. Scott also serves as a member of the board of directors for the non-profit criminal justice policy organization, Texas Criminal Justice Coalition. Mr. Belshaw is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm and received an honorable discharge from the United States Navy.

 

Mr. Belshaw's investigative experience includes all types of criminal cases including capital murder and appellate cases. Mr. Belshaw is an expert in criminal sentencing issues. He is skilled in the fundamentals of all aspects of criminal investigations. He has experience in all domestic investigations and infidelity cases. He works closely with other firms investigating financial and computer fraud. 

 

  

Amanda Belshaw, B.A.

Senior Investigator/Family Investigations/Client Relations

 

Amanda is a graduate of the University of Houston. Her educational background consists of international research especially concerning Russia and the former Soviet Union. Amanda is a former Caseworker/Investigator with the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services- Children's Protective Services Division. She is an expert in child abuse investigations of all types, including physical abuse, neglect, and sexual abuse. Amanda has extensive experience interviewing both victims of abuse and alleged perpetrators. Amanda is well-versed in adoption proceedings and is familiar with special-needs adoption circumstances such as the Indian Child Welfare Act. She is a member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers' Association and the National Indian Child Welfare Association. Amanda is also a court-appointed expert in several Texas counties in the areas of child witnesses, child abuse investigations, and forensic interviewing.
